Geosquishing

Advanced warning - for all my Year 7,8 and 9 students the homework after the exams is going to be producing a geosquish photograph - check it out! Get squishing!

Snake bursts after gobbling a gator!

Ever wondered who would win if a snake took on an alligator in a fight?
Well wonder no longer.

Google earth

Many of you have been asking me about Google earth. Well here it is to download for free - probably best to ask mum and dad first! If you come up with some good ideas for its use, or find some new things to do on it - let me know. We will be using it more and more over the next few weeks (maybe best to leave this until after end of year exams!)

Year 9 Preparation for Migration essay

In the lesson this week we have been looking at migration and have covered some contentious issues. Your homework was to re-read over the material we have covered and to conduct some extra research into this issue. I would like you to come to the lesson with 3 opinions and 3 facts that you will use for your short essay (a,b or c). Below are some links that you will find useful.

A case study of migration from BBC schools
More 'child illegals' are crossing into the USA a report states.
The dangers of crossing the border
What are your views of this - 'Vigilantes' set for Mexico border patrol
Read advice from the Mexican Government about crossing in safety- what do you think the US Government think of this?
Mexican migrants' growing influence - what are the implications of this?
What does Angelina Jolie say about migration?
